Meet the Men’s Pocket Down Jacket

There is a stretch of the year — roughly October through December, then again in March — where a parka is too much and a sweater is not enough. You want down on the walk to the train at seven, and you want it off and out of the way by ten. Most jackets are good at one of those.

The Pocket Down Jacket packs into a stuff sack sewn into its own interior pocket, which is where the name comes from and why it never becomes the jacket you left somewhere. About twenty seconds from worn to stowed, and then it lives in your bag until the temperature drops again.

The diamond quilting is the other half of it. Instead of the horizontal baffles you would expect on a down jacket, the quilt runs on a diagonal — it holds loft just as well, and it reads more like a jacket than a piece of gear. If the Packable Down is the one you take on the plane, this is the one you wear all week.

Packs Into Its Own Pocket: The stuff sack is attached inside the pocket, so it cannot get lost. Compresses down small enough to disappear into a work bag or a carry-on.

700 Fill Power Down: 90% duck down and 10% feathers, RDS certified for ethical sourcing. Serious warmth without the bulk.
