What’s more exciting than the day before a trip?
It's the anticipation and preparation all coming together. Bags packed, work wrapped up, and ready for adventure.
That’s what I’m feeling right now…mostly
Here’s my itinerary for the week:
First stop: Winnipeg. I'll meet with our distributor to discuss fall and winter plans, then catch up with our design team to fine-tune fits for Spring 2025 (yes, we plan that far ahead!).
Next, it’s off to Lake of the Woods, just beyond the Manitoba/Ontario border.
This is home to our family cottage, where my love for nature and the outdoors was born.
Whether it’s navigating the choppy waters of Ash Rapids into Shoal Lake, exploring old gold mine shafts cut into the Canadian Shield, or enjoying a shore lunch with views of the vast lake and tall, windswept pines that eagles call home, every moment is an adventure.
Jacket of choice for this trip? The Portage Windbreaker.
With wind and rain in the forecast, it’s perfect since I don’t have space to pack both a rain jacket and a windbreaker. And I don’t want to pay any extra baggage fees – that money’s better spent on a fishing license!
