Sun, Rain, and the Unbeatable Jacket
It's the same story every May long weekend: dreams of sunny skies, a cottage retreat, and that refreshing lake breeze.
And yet, what do we usually get? A mix of wind, rain, with a splash of Monday sunshine as we wave goodbye.
Nonetheless, we dive into yard work, dock duties, and the great spring clean-up.
It's the messy ritual we secretly love but don't want to wear. I can't count how many jackets have become 'Lake Jackets' over the years from messy yard work at the cottage.
This year will look a bit different for me - a long weekend in BC will feature a mix of biking, golfing, hiking and some chill nights with friends.
You can bet the Portage windbreaker (pictured above) won't leave my side. And if it does get dirty (it will get dirty), I can toss it in the washing machine and let it hang dry, like I already have 5+ times this year.
Messy fun, minus the laundry fuss. That's Northern Sun for you.
